How to Set Events-Based Loyalty Programs

Events-Based Loyalty empowers you to engage and reward your EV drivers based on lifecycle events. Running event-based campaigns keeps them motivated to use your Charge Point Network primarily.

For the first iteration of the feature, we have implemented the ability to configure and activate loyalty programs based on 4 different event types - Signup, First Charge, Tier Promotion, and Date Charge.

For the second iteration of the feature, we're planning to introduce the ability to reward EV drivers on their designated birthday and/or specific anniversary date, as well as set campaigns for a scheduled date or period of time in the foreseeable future.


Here are the steps that you need to follow as an Admin User to set Events-Based Loyalty Programs:

  1. Log into your ChargeWise Admin App by navigating to admin.chargewise.global and entering your email address and password.

  1. Navigate to Programs > + New Program > Fill in Step 1: Program Details by providing the Loyalty program's Name, Description, and Image:

  1. Complete Step 2: Program Logic by selecting Event Based > Select an event under the Event Configuration drop-down menu > Next:

  1. Complete Step 3: Audience and Duration > Select the Respective Use/s, User Group/s or TIER for which the Loyalty Program will ONLY apply to and configure the Start and End Dates as desired:

  1. Click Create Program to finish the process:

ℹ️ Please note that SignUp and First Charge Events-Based Programs are One-time ONLY. As such, they appear as "Ended" on the HOME screen of the User app:
