What is Charge Balance and How does it work?
Charge Balance represents Charging Credits that are applied directly to the driver's charging app. Here's how Charge Balance works.
I. Admin App Configuration = so that this type of reward is available for redemption by the EV driver, it first has to be enabled and configured in the admin app. Here are the steps that the admin has to take:
- Log in to the Admin App > Navigate to Rewards > Configure the Points Value ratio = {how many points} = 1 currency of choice ($, €, SGD, etc.)
- Adding Various "Charge Balance" rewards in the admin app:

If you configured the "Points Value" so that 1000 points = 1€, then that means the EV driver has to have at least 1,000 accumulated loyalty points to redeem 1€ in Charge Balance.
Following that logic, respectively, to redeem a 2€ Charge Balance, for instance, the user will need to have gained at least 2,000 points in total. And so forth.
II. User App Redemption:
- The user will see the respective Charge Balance rewards in the Drivers app exactly as they were configured in the admin app:
Log in to the User app > Go to Redeem > You'll see the Available Balance rewards under the "Rewards" section > Select a Charge Balance reward > Redeem
- Once you redeemed the respective reward, you can go to Rewards > Use:
- In the end, you'll see the following Message on the screen in the app:
The respective amount of Charge Balance will then be immediately topped up on top of your current balance in your account that you have with the Operator's mobile application.
